The Airmax Remote System is normally fitted to your vehicles either by your finance provider, insurance company or fleet manager. The service and the data it provides or supports can vary between customers and application so it is essential that you know and understand the service level that is specific to your contract.
As you gain experience of your system you may become aware of additional features and services that would benefit your company. In most instances it will be possible for us to provide these as a simple ‘over air’ upgrades to your service level. These upgrades may not be feasible for early versions of the hardware or in some cases software. If in any doubt please contact Airmax Remote support and we will confirm your version number.
Before upgrading it will normally entail a simple discussion and agreement with your Airmax Remote Account Manager. Alternatively, if your service level contract is with a provider other than Airmax Remote, the upgrade can be negotiated directly with them.
Your Airmax Remote System may incorporate a GPS option as a feature of the hardware. This does not indicate that your system has full GPS tracking and security (detailed below) as standard. Location based options are a very specific and Airmax Remote services must be subscribed to prior to vehicle installation or by agreement to upgrade after initial installation. In situations where more than one party accesses data, you may need to consider data protection and HR issues and consult with appropriately qualified parties.
To avoid confusion on location services it is important to understand the applications.
